Rather than having a discussion between Class A/B/D amps and finding the benefits of each, this is a more general discussion on how to measure and calculate your power requirements. Doing this will ensure that you are not:

 A. Underpowering your system, and thus not getting the desired results (clipping).

 B. Overpowering your system where it isn’t necessary.
